Dog-friendly hotels in Catalonia
A few barks of joy, a few jumps in the garden, a moment of rest on the terrace... All these natural gestures of your dog will be respected in some hotels, but in others they may not be so well regarded. Therefore, it is worth checking in advance if the accommodation where we plan to book our stay allows pets in its facilities.
Most hotels do not allow the dog or any other pet to stay in the common areas of the establishment, such as the restaurant, bar or pool, but fortunately there are some that have gardens where the pet can walk. There are accommodations that allow pets up to 5 kg in weight, others up to 20 kg and in other hotels dogs of any size are welcome. The number is usually limited to a single pet per room and the animal is allowed to sleep next to its owners.
The Àncora de Palamós hotel accepts all types of dogs, cats, canaries and other domestic animals. Dogs can enjoy the garden, rooms and terrace. They can also be on the grass surrounding the pool. They cannot access the restaurant or the pool, but if the pet is well behaved and calm, there are no problems in allowing access to the indoor dining room. If you travel with two dogs, both can be in the room with their owners. For now, they do not charge extra for animals.
En Calella de Palafrugell, el emblemático hotel Alga acepta perros de máximo 20 kg y permite que permanezcan en la zona de recepción y en las habitaciones con sus propietarios, pero no en las zonas comunes (restaurante, bar, piscina ni jardín). El precio por animal es de 15 € por día y la reserva se limita a un perro por habitación.
