Santpedor
Santpedor, in the Bages region of Barcelona, is a medieval town located just a few kilometres from Manresa, preserving much of its historic charm. Its old quarter, surrounded by ancient gateways and medieval walls, invites visitors to stroll through streets steeped in history, especially during the traditional Sant Miquel Fair, one of the town's most emblematic celebrations.
To the south of the town lie the Aiguamolls de la Bòbila, a unique natural area created on former clay pits and now an important birdwatching sanctuary. The surrounding area also provides easy access to other highlights of the Bages region, including Manresa, the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac Natural Park and Montserrat Mountain.
Santpedor is an excellent destination for exploring inland Barcelona while staying in some of the best rural hotels in Catalonia, ideal for combining heritage, nature and gastronomy.
