Setcases
Setcases, in the Ripollès region of Girona, is one of the most charming mountain villages in the Girona Pyrenees. Located in the heart of the Camprodon Valley, its name comes from an old legend and means “seven houses”, referring to the first homes that gave rise to the village.
Its cobbled streets, stone houses and the Romanesque church of Sant Miquel preserve the traditional character of the Pyrenean villages. Nearby are emblematic places such as Ulldeter, where the Ter River rises, and viewpoints such as Forat de l’Olla, Collet de Xuriguera and Baidana.
The proximity to Vallter, one of the main ski resorts in Catalonia, makes Setcases an ideal destination throughout the year. Hiking, cycling, horse riding, snowshoeing and mountain sports all find a privileged setting here. In addition, the selection of mountain hotels and charming accommodations makes Setcases the perfect getaway to enjoy the nature and tranquility of the Pyrenees.
