Setcases
Setcases, in the Ripollès region of Girona, is one of the most charming mountain villages in the Girona Pyrenees. Located in the heart of the Camprodon Valley, its name comes from an old legend and means “seven houses”, referring to the first homes that gave rise to the village.
Its cobbled streets, stone houses and the Romanesque church of Sant Miquel preserve the traditional character of the Pyrenean villages. Nearby are emblematic places such as Ulldeter, where the Ter River rises, and viewpoints such as Forat de l’Olla, Collet de Xuriguera and Baidana.
Close to Vallter, one of Catalonia's main ski resorts, the mountain hotels in Setcases are the perfect base for enjoying the Pyrenees all year round. Hiking, cycling, horse riding, snowshoeing and mountain sports all thrive in this outstanding natural setting.
