Roses
Roses, in the Alt Empordà region of Girona, is one of the leading destinations on the Costa Brava. Located between the Cap de Creus Natural Park and the Bay of Roses, it combines long sandy beaches with some of the most spectacular coves in the Mediterranean.
Among its best-known attractions are the beaches of Santa Margarida and Canyelles Petites, together with coves such as L'Almadrava, Montjoi, Cap Norfeu and Punta Falconera. Its fishing port, one of the most important in northern Catalonia, is renowned for its outstanding seafood cuisine, especially the famous Roses prawns.
Roses is an excellent base for exploring the Costa Brava, from Cap de Creus to the medieval villages of the Empordà. Its location allows visitors to combine beaches, nature, gastronomy and wine tourism with a stay in some of the best hotels on the Costa Brava.
