Calella de Palafrugell
Calella de Palafrugell is one of the most charming places on the Costa Brava. This former fishing village, part of the municipality of Palafrugell, preserves its Mediterranean character with white houses facing the sea, a pleasant seaside promenade and the iconic Les Voltes de Calella. Its coves and beaches, including Port Bo and El Canadell, have made it a very popular destination on the Costa Brava.
It is home to the Cap Roig Botanical Garden, one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in the Mediterranean, where the prestigious Cap Roig Gardens Festival takes place every summer, one of the most important music events on the Costa Brava. Nearby you will also find the historic Sant Sebastià Lighthouse.
Calella de Palafrugell is also known for its diverse gastronomic offer and seafront hotels. From the village begins one of the most beautiful stretches of the coastal path to Llafranc, and every July the beach of Port Bo hosts the traditional Habaneras Singing Festival, another cultural highlight of summer on the Costa Brava.
