Discover Tamariu
Tamariu, on the Costa Brava (Girona), is a charming fishing village that belongs to the municipality of Palafrugell. Its Mediterranean essence remains in the old fishermen’s huts on the Platja de Tamariu, especially the historic Barraca dels Liris, a symbol of its maritime past. Today, the seafront promenade and the restaurants in Tamariu offer a peaceful and authentic atmosphere by the sea.
The coves of Tamariu are one of its main attractions. Very close by is the beautiful Cala Aigua Xelida, a cove with turquoise waters ideal for swimming, relaxing, or exploring the seabed. Tamariu is also an ideal destination for kayaking, paddle surfing or taking boat trips to discover sea caves and hidden coves along the Costa Brava.
Tamariu also offers a section of the Camí de Ronda that follows cliffs and viewpoints until it reaches the village of Llafranc, connecting with the Camí de Ronda from Calella de Palafrugell to Tamariu. The village also has a carefully curated selection of hotels in Tamariu.
