Rupit
Rupit, in the Osona region of Barcelona, is one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Catalonia. Nestled in the heart of the Collsacabra area, it boasts a spectacular historic centre with cobbled streets, stone houses and its iconic suspension bridge. Together with the Baroque Church of Sant Miquel and the dramatic cliffs surrounding the village, it offers visitors a true journey back in time.
Just a few minutes away lies the spectacular Salt de Sallent waterfall, with a drop of over 100 metres, making it one of the most impressive waterfalls in Catalonia. Rupit is also an excellent base for exploring the Collsacabra Natural Area, the cliffs of Tavertet, the Sau Reservoir and the Guilleries-Savassona Natural Park, with countless hiking and mountain biking trails.
Rupit is the perfect destination for a relaxing getaway, where traditional gastronomy and some of the best rural hotels in Catalonia allow visitors to experience the authentic charm of inland Catalonia.
