La Bisbal d'Empordà
La Bisbal d'Empordà, the capital of the Baix Empordà region in Girona, is one of the most distinctive towns in the inland Costa Brava. Known as the ceramics capital of Catalonia, it is renowned for its artisan workshops, specialist shops and the Terracotta Museum, which preserve a pottery tradition that dates back centuries.
Its privileged location makes it easy to discover some of the Empordà's most iconic attractions. Nearby are the medieval villages of Pals, Peratallada and Monells, the Les Gavarres massif and some of the best beaches and coves on the Costa Brava, including Begur, Aiguablava, Tamariu, Calella de Palafrugell and Llafranc. It is also an ideal destination for hiking, cycling and gastronomic routes through the Empordà.
The selection of hotels on the Costa Brava allows visitors to combine the charm of the countryside with the proximity of the Mediterranean. You'll find rural hotels and beachfront hotels, many set in restored Catalan farmhouses with spa facilities, swimming pools, excellent restaurants and wine tourism experiences.
