Palafrugell
Palafrugell, on the Costa Brava, Girona, is one of the most representative destinations of the Baix Empordà. Its maritime identity, Mediterranean cuisine and the legacy of writer Josep Pla shape its character. The municipality includes three coastal areas: Calella de Palafrugell, Llafranc and Tamariu.
The coastline of the municipality is surrounded by coves and sections of the Camí de Ronda, featuring clear waters and white houses overlooking the Mediterranean. In the restaurants of Palafrugell, visitors can enjoy fresh seafood and traditional dishes such as suquet de peix and contemporary cuisine.
Palafrugell preserves iconic landmarks such as the Palafrugell Market and the Sant Sebastià Lighthouse, which offers one of the best panoramic views of the Costa Brava. Throughout the year, the town hosts its own events such as Flors i Violes, a festival that fills the town centre with floral art, music and culture, and the Garoinada, a renowned gastronomic campaign dedicated to sea urchin, during which hotels and restaurants in Palafrugell offer special menus, activities and experiences.
