Torroella de Montgrí
Torroella de Montgrí, located in the Baix Empordà region of Girona, is one of the most representative towns in the inland area of the Costa Brava. It lies at the foot of the Montgrí Massif and very close to the coastal town of L’Estartit, gateway to the famous Medes Islands, one of the most important marine natural areas in the Mediterranean.
The town is part of the Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Natural Park, a protected area of great ecological value that combines sea, mountains and plains. From here you can enjoy hiking or cycling routes, and one of the most recommended experiences is climbing up to Montgrí Castle, which offers spectacular views over the Costa Brava, the Empordà plain and the Medes Islands.
During the summer, Torroella de Montgrí also stands out for its cultural life, with concerts and music festivals that fill the streets with life and make it an ideal destination to enjoy nature, culture and landscapes in the heart of the Empordà.
