Precisamente en diciembre de 2020 tres vinos de la Denominación de Origen Empordà fueron sido elegidos mejor vino de Cariñena blanca, vino de garnacha roja y mejor vino de garnacha blanca en la Guía de Vinos de Catalunya 2021.
Se trata, respectivamente, del Singulars de Vinyes Velles 2018, de la bodega Mas Llunes; Vinya del Metgeo 2019, de Celler d’en Guilla, y Istiu 2018, de Vinyes dels Aspres, que han obtenido las mejores puntuaciones de vinos ampurdaneses de la publicación.
Qué mejor momento, pues, para recorrer el Camino del Vino del Empordà, que dibuja un itinerario transversal del mar hacia la montaña, y ofrece de manera diáfana el poder de las viñas como paisaje dentro del paisaje, con vistas caprichosamente bañadas de sol y tramontana.
Enoturismo en el Empordà: la mejor ruta del vino en la Costa Brava
De las múltiples opciones que tenéis, os destacamos algunas por el Alt Empordà, como la propuesta de la bodega Martín y Faixó, de Cadaqués, dentro del Parque Natural del Cap de Creus, a una altitud de 300 metros y con unas vistas absolutamente fascinantes. Como os decíamos, la prestigiosa guía de mejores vinos de Cataluña ha reconocido el buen trabajo llevado a cabo por las bodegas de la DO Empordà, y una quincena han conseguido situar uno o más vinos en la lista.

Ahora bajemos un poco, hacia el Baix Empordà, donde la Denominación de Origen también tiene un puñado de pequeñas bodegas que os abrirán las puertas de par en par, y donde os sorprenderéis con las tierras arcillosas, los suelos arenosos y las cepas enredadas entre sí que os acogerán durante vuestras visitas y catas guiadas de vinos.
Hagamos parada en Torrent, donde encontramos el Mas Oller, y más tarde en Fonteta para ver la Bodega Mas Patiràs y la Bodega Mas Anglada, que os esperan con diferentes propuestas de enoturismo y visitas entre viñedos.
