The best Roads of Ronda on the Costa Brava

The coastal paths of the Costa Brava are one of the best things to do on the Costa Brava. The smell of pine trees, the sound of the sea and the contrast between the blue of the Mediterranean and the wild green make these routes by the sea a unique experience.

The 9 best coastal paths of the Costa Brava

The coastal paths of the Costa Brava form a network of trails of more than 200 km by the sea, between Blanes and Portbou. In the past they were used to monitor smuggling, but today they are some of the best hiking routes in Catalonia.

They are marked with the white and red signs of the GR-92: the lines indicate the path, the arrows the direction, and an X that it is not the route. In urban sections they may be less visible, but in natural areas they are the best reference.

Below we show you the best Costa Brava coastal paths, selected for their scenery, ease and overall experience.

  1. Sant Feliu – S’Agaró (the highest rated, perfect for beginners)
  2. Calella – Llafranc (short and charming)
  3. La Fosca – Castell (the wildest, through secret coves)
  4. L’Escala – Empúries (the most cultural and flattest stretch)
  5. Cadaqués – Portlligat (the most artistic)
  6. Fornells – Aiguablava (through the best coves of Begur)
  7. Sa Tuna – Aiguafreda (ideal for families with children)
  8. Platja de Pals – Illa Roja – Sa Riera (best combination of beach + sea views)
  9. Lloret – Blanes (long route with botanical gardens)
